The beetroot is the taproot portion of the beet plant, usually known in North America as the beet, also table beet, garden beet, or red or golden beet. It is several of the cultivated varieties of Beta vulgaris grown for their edible taproots and their greens. These varieties have been classified as B.

Other than as a food, beets have use as a food coloring and as a medicinal plant. Many beet products are made from other Beta vulgarism varieties, particularly sugar beet.

功效

有機甜菜中含有對人體有益的葉酸，而這種元素是預防貧血，使細胞正常發育不可或缺的重要物質之一，具有一定的抗腫瘤作用，為天然抗癌維生素，並且還有防止高血壓、老年癡呆症的作用。

儲存

用保鮮膜包裹，防止和空氣過多接觸而導致發霉或爛掉，可以選擇放在冰箱進行保鮮。
